Just wondering...for filling the primer scratches with the filler, I presume it's just Isopon filler. ? Or is it Putty Filler!?...Great vid, sooooo helpful

So you make it look so easy..very skillful as always. What did you use to fill the small imperfections before the base coat and do they not need more primer ?

Thank you Paul :) the small imperfections were filled with stoppa, no need for more primer just paint over the top :)

Your videos are a joy to watch 😃is that 2k or 1k top coat? Also do you know much about the difference of 1k super gloss frozen white vs 2k adc air dry converted high gloss frozen white paint? Can’t decide which one to use. Any help is much appreciated

hi Tony , its base then 2k lacquer, im afraid i don't but rule of thumb is always try go as close to original :)

Another good learning video. So you did 3 coats of primer, then one coat of black stuff, rub down, stop up any little imperfections, flatten again, blow down, panel wipe, tack rag then base coat and flatten. So do you then do a second base coat or is it only one base coat if there are no issues. Then a coat of lacquer. I assume you so not flatten the lacquer.

Three Base coat and one Light laquer then two heavy laquer layers to finish :)

No difference in a spray booth for me. Just tends to be a little cleaner but dust particles can always be flatted and polished out :)

It's not really healthy not to wear a mask when blowing off the car...😉. How do you get all the dust out of the hall? Or was painting done in another hall? I'm going to paint my MX-5 without the stone guard.... I've never liked it on the car 😉 ...

No spray booth with extraction or air fed mask? No coverall to wear whilst spraying? Thats really not safe. Also you are wiping it down to remove dust wearing the same clothes you wore when rubbing down, the floor is covered in dust and the wheel covers are also!
