This is dead interesting, as I need to treat the underneath of my car when its finished, the existing finish is just primer and top coat, and it has lifted and rusted all over the place, also with the spray gun I can make sure every little sections is covered, can you paint the black stuff all over and then seal the cavities after wards ? and can you paint body colour over the top

As finishes go, the grey with black seam sealer looked great. Functionally poor, but looked great all the same. Another great videos, thanks for sharing.

The car is a bare shell on your rotisserie, I'd have at least flared those wheel arches, and probably a lot of other "bespoke" changes. Great project, a lot of labour and expertise going into this, not in doubt,

45 years of experience in panelbeating in New Zealand, wish we could buy the parts to make this a viable option,.Great effort mate 👍
Beautiful work. I worked 40 years as a toolmaker, but I was always pants at sheet metal work. It looks hard to get right, but the truth is it is even harder than it looks. Bending allowances, heat distortion when you weld it, jagged edges ready to slice your hand with cuts that always became infected - especially stainless steel for some reason. I was surprised to see those Gilbow snips. That will be hard work and everything seems to have got easier since I retired in 2004. Angle grinders with cut-off wheels, all manner of cheap as chips Chinesium tools - I am better equipped in retirement that I was when Ford Motor Co bought my tools. I would have expected cordless nibblers, , but I can imagine how strong his grip must be. Just don't give him the evil eye while shaking his hand, because you'll walk away with a fist full of broken hand bones.

The back wall of the battery tray actually isn't flat like your panel, it has a weird bulge that the battery gets pushed up against when you tighten down the little tiedown bracket. I spotted that instantly, because i removed some rust in the same spot on mine not so long ago😉 Thats just a little detail, you could also just put a block of some sorts there later to clamp the battery. Nonetheless this is great work!👍👌
