I agree with you. John Bubniak version does seem to capture more emotion. I see some activity on the forehead, some wrinkles and that looks real life. Whereas with Ben Jordan I don't really see that. Also compare this Peter to MJ....she could be his older sister now

It's just a silly thing to do. We've had at least 100 hours with this face. And now they just replace it as if nothing has happened? It'd be like if they re-cast Robert Downey in between Civil War and Infinity War.

Honestly I loved the preview actor, I hope they include an option that can let us switch actors. The first actor seemed like an actual man, he’s got the wrinkles on his face, and tons of detail. The new actor looks like a high school kid. He is miles mentor, but looks younger than him now.

I understand your opinion but insomniac told us over and over again that this would be a more experience spider man that was pretty much one of the selling points of the game people were excited because no one in the movies or any other spider man game that I know of has done this before and all those years of experience and stress should be reflected on the character

I love how you took Peter's eyebags and stress wrinkles into consideration for the minifigure. People forget that being Spiderman comes with a lot of stress too. So an older peter SHOULD have some of those imperfections on his face to make him look believable

My point was that the game designers wouldn’t have recast him if there wasn’t an increase in performance

@@graysonschosha5378 How did I disregard your point? Your first comment tried to down play Ross's point because he isn't a game dev. As for the final point that Ross, myself, and many other are feeling, is this change was needless. As talked about in this video, the new face doesn't look like the VA, many video game characters don't look like their actors, and it doesn't look like that good. It just seems like ths juice wasn't worth the squeeze. If it is somehow an "upgrade", it's still a too young face and tech wise it's barely noticeable.

Alright, unpopular opinion time: I really like Ben Jordan's face and have already gotten used to it, whereas in retrospect, John's face did look a little uncanny-valley at times. Also for those complaining that Ben looks too young, he's 26 years old, 3 years older than Peter in-game. He's exactly what guys in their early to mid twenties look like. The screenshots and scene Insomniac used for the reveal just had the misfortune of its lighting and camera angles making him look a bit like Tom Holland (who's also in his 20s, btw).

I get that but the thing is that they are actors so they most likely take care of there looks and stuff but the majority of people look older at that age and maybe the lucky few look young but not everyone but the thing is that this is a Peter that has 8 years being spiderman and those were most likely tough on him with all the stress of him managing his normal and secret life and that should be reflected on the character and it should be able to tell us that this guy has been through a lot and John's face reflected while the new face just tells us that nothing bad has ever happened to him in those 8 years his face just looks to perfect

I prefer the older face, as it makes him look older, but I understand why the change was made. It's a shame that there are people who actually threatened them over it. I don't mind that he does look younger, as Tom Holland is in his 20's and looks like a teen. My issue is that he looks younger than Miles, but whatever. He's in a mask for the majority of the game.

I am going to say that John Bubniak is my favorite Peter Parker look ever. However, I don't entirely have a problem with Ben Jordan. I don't think he looks too young, and he does look like Yuri Lowenthal. I have noticed Bubniak is more expressive, which is my biggest problem, but I do accept Jordan and I am looking forward to the future of the Marvel's Spider-Man universe. This likeness looks fantastic. Honestly for the longest time, I thought just the Henry Turner head looks like him enough, but this is definitely next level

I think the recast is fine looking but its just going to be strange seeing another face, especially after some a great and emotional performance by Bubniak, sequels might come off as strange but the model is great and I think the actual appearance is good, just unnecessary.

graphically it does look good but from a narrative standpoint it doesn't make since when this new spiderman has 8 years of spiderman experience and those years were probably fill with stress and beating so his character model should reflect that so it gives a feeling that this character has been through a lot
