@@dylansharp8471 Yeah or at least around that number. I loved Wandavision, both seasons of Loki, Shang Chi, Hawkeye, No Way Home, Wakanda Forever, Guardians 3, Deadpool & Wolverine. I quite enjoyed and still like Black Widow, Moon Knight, What If, Multiverse of Madness. I think Eternals, Echo and The Marvels are overhated but still flawed. I don’t really like or love them but they’re just.. meh.. But I really didn’t like Thor 4, Quantumania, but especially She Hulk and Secret Invasion. It’s too early to judge but I really don’t think Agatha or Iron Heart is going to be my thing either.

Frl bru… this perfectly encapsulates the current state of MCU since 2021. I feel like the MCU peaked and scratched the surface with Endgame already. There was literally a reason why it was called endgame. They could have either rebooted after it, or had a 5 yr hiatus to properly plan their future. But nope, they took the wrong path, which was giving Disney more creative freedom than ever. They were on a leash in 2009-2019 and post-Endgame, Marvel decided to cut Disney loose just because of a streaming service. And of all the content made in the multiverse saga so far, only few stuck the landing. NWH and DP&W are examples.

Time for a real comment. So happy you’re back Ross. I’d honestly like for you to do more of these in shorter run times (for your sake). Your humor is just really fun to watch. As funny as the sketch was tho, it’s still kindve sad that the MCU is just in a sad state. I’m trying to think of how it would have turned out if we cut the fat, and we had 3 movies a year and a TV show. I couldn’t care a bit about the new movies because every character I like is either out of the picture (Guardians) or not going to be used anymore (Moon Knight is being relegated to just the small screen, Kate Bishop and Kamala are being saved for the Young Avengers movie, etc)

It is so amazing to finally get to see another video from you, Ross. Even though it’s been months since your last video, I was still super excited to finally get to see this video you’ve been cooking up. And boy it did not disappoint, all the way through this video was amazing. Not only was it really funny, but you brought up a lot of really great points about the recent state of the MCU and poked fun at and (rightfully) criticized a lot of the weird or stupid behind the scenes decisions made by the studio. Seriously, you did such a great job with this long form skit, I’m so glad that I was able to watch it. I feel like the amount of time and effort you put into this was definitely worth it and appreciated and I really hope that you are proud of this. And as always Ross, remember to always stay safe, healthy and motivated and keep up with all your amazing work. And in regards to the recent state of the MCU, I definitely don’t hate the recent MCU projects as much as other people do, but I can definitely see a lot of the flaws in many of them. I feel like the MCU’s projects just used to be so much more consistent, pretty much everyone would consider just about every movie either good, great or amazing. But now pretty much everything has just been a complete hit or a total miss. Instead of consistently delivering on great, quality content like they used to, we’ve just gotten a sea of mediocre and/or forgotten things (like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Shang-Chi etc.) with some genuinely amazing things sprinkled in (like Spider-Man No Way Home, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Deadpool and Wolverine), with a surprising amount of bad stuff too (She-Hulk, Secret Invasion etc.) And again, I definitely don’t hate or have as many problems with the majority of the recent MCU projects like many people do, but it’s still very clear to me that there is a definite decline in almost every aspect of the MCU in recent years. It’s just so unfortunate that this sort of decline has happened to the studio because I love the MCU so much. I think they were able to accomplish something amazing that no other studio has been able to do and was able to bring us some of the best superhero stories ever brought to the theaters for so many years. I really hope that going forward they’re going to try and get things back on track and back in order and try and to regain what made the earlier MCU project so special. And I think a good way to get started on that is to cut back on the quantity of content and focus more heavily on the quality of it like they used to. And they should also only be hiring directors and writers who are almost guaranteed to make their respective project with great care, respect and quality. Although I will say, with projects such as Daredevil Born Again and X-Men ‘97 Season 2 seeming to be a guaranteed hit. And with Captain America Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four looking to have a bright future ahead of them, I really hope this can be a turning point in the right direction for the MCU. And even though I’m still cautiously optimistic for these upcoming projects (especially about Captain America Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four) I really feel like as of right now, the MCU has a pretty bright looking future ahead of it and if they get these upcoming projects right and make some smart decisions, they could definitely start to make their rise to the top again one day.
