Another stunning painting Stephen. The colours are gorgeous. Thanks for showing how to put yellow on the canvas and not muddy up your work,. Love this sunset. . When I was looking at the photo I thought there was a reflection of the hills in the water so was happy you put one in. Stay safe and happy painting!!

I love all your work and I have to thank you, because it's you that got me back painting again after many years.. Life happens and other things took over lol! Painting is in my family though, my uncle Arthur was a great artist, and my first cousin Steven from Cobh is a talented artist. I was born in Cork and haven't been in years.. Time to have a holiday in Myrtleville I think soon lol. Thank you for all you do!! love and respect, Jen Ward.

Turpentine is absolute hell on my brushes. Is there a different medium you suggest?
@EasyOilPainting4 жыл бұрын
You can use linseed oil with a tiny amount of turps. That will be much easier to use...

May i ask ...when we paint on paper pad, is needed to put gesso on or straight on paper?....thanks
@EasyOilPainting4 жыл бұрын
I dont think its needed as the paper will still soak in the paint... paper pads are fine as they are... thank you

Dear Stephen Connway,Where do I find your recommendation for buying paints and basic equipment to start painting with oil; I'm going to the art center to buy, what am I asking for?; thanks alot; GOD bless.
@EasyOilPainting2 жыл бұрын
Any good arts supply store will have everything you need... ask for a set of good quality oil paints, some good soft brushes ,synthetic is good and a good canvas board...also so paint thinners...im sure they will help you with everything
