How Kayakasaurus isn’t getting commissions for museums is total mystery to me. These models are so lifelike, and he’d make absolutely jaw dropping exhibits for museums.

Hi Clayton, it‘s me, Simon. I sincerely thank you very much for all the effort you put into this video and of course for the support you gave me over the past couple of weeks on instagram. Collaborating with you was an absolute blast! It was so rewarding to see my Aquilops coming to life in this video. Beautiful paint job by the way! You are such a talented and creative person! I wish you the very best and hope your channel will grow even more successful. You absolutely deserve it! Greetings from Germany 😄

Your sculpting was very good and lifelike, it was an excellent collaboration, and hopefully just the first of them. If I might suggest, perhaps an archaeopteryx would be appropriate? It was discovered in Germany if I remember correctly.

I think it makes more sense for a lizard, whose tail grows back, to have bright colors drawing attention to the tail. And sooo many people draw dinosaurs based on blue skinks. But, I suppose everyone should do at least one lol. All that aside, the technique and color are striking. Love how you got the eyes in the beginning. Good job!
@ghoultooth3 жыл бұрын
I think a good opposition to this are crested geckos. They permanently lose their tails yet they are coloured differently, nature is weird and wonderful
@Indoraptoad3 жыл бұрын
I suppose the same bright colors on a dinosaur could be used to attract mates.

Stumbled on your channel and now I’m hooked! Used to paint tabletop figurines for the board games we played, because they looked so boring in their original state. Then we got kids and I put that hobby on hold, but now when the kids have left the nest, the urge has come back. I love your format, the editing is as good as your painting skills, you got yourself a new follower! I might even take up painting again, even that my eyes might need some magnifying help.

Another amazingly painted model. The inclusion of the clear eyes really makes the animal come to life. Now I hope you accept some critique as well!? The mounding seams particularly on the upper head as well as the joinlines especially between the tail parts are too visible and had needed a bit more work. I think you agree! Other than that it is another great creation. I really like the life-size models and I hope you do more of those. Kit or scratch built.
@Kayakasaurus3 жыл бұрын
Yeah there was some flash on the beak I missed before painting 🤦♂️😄 the reason I didn’t build up more putty on the tail is because then I would have to sculpt scales and that would be more noticeable.
