Painting Blue Trees: Monochromatic Pastel Demo

Karen, I believe you have just given me the solution to my physical Limitations! I have eye problems which prevent me from pursuing my new found love of detailed graphite drawing and, more recently, developed tendinitis In my left (dominant) hand making brush and pastel work really painful. Whilst watching this video, I have resolved to dig out some redundant paper and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE tonal drawings with my right hand - limited vision should help me isolate values and using my non-dominant hand will necessitate much looser mark- making. I am suddenly feeling much more optimistic about my art by turning challenges into opportunities. Thank you, my friend.

Excellent video Karen! Thank you. If in your next video you could go over how you select the harmonious color selections of your pastels that would really help too. I am finding it difficult to make my paintings "less realistic" and more "impressionistic" by using different colors than my reference photo has to offer.

Francisco Jairo u can find it at any hardware store .. it is a round tube and costs about $2, so u get a lot of pieces u can cut up from 1 tube

It is foam that is used to insulate pipes from the cold. You get it at hardware stores.
