It was a bit of an ugly duckling when we first bought it and I think that's why we got it for only £1500. I'm pleased with how we've managed to tidy it up. I only wish I had in my skillset the ability to properly sort the dent between the side loading door and wheel arch. Still irks me but everyone tells me it's 'character '. 😁 Any comparison to Sir Greg is high praise indeed so thank you very much for that! Have yourself a great weekend. 😊👍

Nice work. Not many people that have gone as far as giving their vans a full repaint & it looks so tidy. My plan is to use Raptor liner on the plastic. It'll leave a nice texture and I won't worry about the scratches as that'll fill them. I'm pretty glad I don't have to paint mine, just gotta figure out how to get rid of the ghosting the old vinyl left.
@PilgrimPods4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Maybe going over the panels with T-cut would remove the ghosting from the lettering? I think that's what I'd try. 👍

Cheers man. If you watch our video on painting our van with a roller you'll see some close up pics there. There's a little bit of orange peel but not to the extent it looks unsightly. You only really notice it really close up. And of course after another two or three coats to build up the layers we'll be flatting it back and polishing it up for a glass like smooth finish. But first, the interior! Thanks for watching. 😊👍

@PilgrimPods3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Les. We've always wanted a camper (13 years and counting) for weekend exploring but of course until we're out there we won't know if long term it's for us hence the budget build to avoid wasting money we don't have. We'll have two items on board we won't scrimp on though which will be the Maxxfan as nothing compares to them and we want to keep the van cool for the dog. The other item will be a good 12v fridge as the cost up front will hopefully be offset by the energy efficiency of it long term. Thanks for the lovely comment mate. 🙂🍻
