Painting cabinets is a HUGE job that I wasn’t willing to take on but just changing out the handles made a big difference in updating the look!

Another great thing you can do- if interested- is get contact paper and change the countertops in an easy way. I did that for my current rental home and it helped so much! Just made it seem fresh and more my style. PS so grateful for these videos as I have had a huge change on responsibilities and tasks due to our current situation and these provide a needed break!

The kitchen looks great! It’s amazing how much brighter it looks. I love the new light. I was going to say you could always change the knobs on your cabinets for a cheaper way to change the look of them (since painting didn’t work out)....but at the end they were off. The pool area also looks great with the new screens!!

If you do ever want to try and paint them again, maybe look into spray paint. My brother and sister-in-law have done a lot of cheap projects in their home with spray paint that have turned out beautiful! Love the way it turned out though otherwise. And I love the gray on that corner shelf! It definitely pops against the white walls! And that new clock! Omg so beautiful 👌🙌

It looks so nice... I think the walls very light gray and the cabinets white with matte black knobs will look so beautiful and modern, just because your countertops are grayish you don’t want it to clash with both being gray on gray... But so much better being white

Friendly Tip: Use a magic eraser sponge (plus add warm water & dishwasher soap) to clean the fridge handle that will not turn white like the other fridge handle. That will almost certainly do the trick, or at the very least, you will see a much greater improvement in the disparity in discoloration from one door handle to another. Trust me, it works! ;-)

Loving the kitchen! White is definitely a color to brighten up a room and makes you feel so much better and energized. My hubby and I bought a house (almost 2 years ago) and it was built in 1929. Our kitchen was probably last updated in the 90's which needs a good update now. That's our project soon as we can keep windows open. We are just gonna do a small freshen up with painting, backsplash and add a new sink/faucet. We were gonna do the cupboards but not sure yet. Like you said, a lot of work. LOL!! I love how nice and bright your kitchen looks now. Amazing what paint can do. Love the clock and chandelier too! That corner cabinet looks nice against the white!

gotta love this self quarantine...I've been decluttering and texturing/painting the house. In the past few weeks I've done the kid room, both bathrooms, master bedroom, hallway, and currently back and forth between 2 projects- kicthen and our spare bedroom. it's a challenge when you have too much stuff. there's quite s bit of prep work and cleaning involved in painting but it's always worth it in the end. cabinets can definitely more tedious. I used oil based paint on mine and i love the fact i can wipe them over time without ever messing the paint up

It came out great!!! The light is sooo pretty! Your cabinets look good as is with the white paint. An easy update instead of paint for them could be just getting new hardware (Knobs) I think you’d be surprised what a difference it will make! Just a thought..❤️

Looks good! I have done 3 kitchen rehabs and cabinets are one I should have told you to pay for. I promise it won’t be the same experience as what you had with your office. Honestly, it would take a full day tops maybe only half. Go to Home Depot or Lowe’s in their paint section and let them know you need to have someone come out and do a bid and they will send one of their contractors that they have. Another place is Thumbtack, all have extensive background and reference checks and are insured. Do NOT hire people off of Craigslist or get a friend of a friend ever!

Lovely transformation! It's no doubt that a wall paint can make a space look and feel so much bigger and clean. I liked the wooden cabinets but the grey is lovely too. You both did a great job...very professional and great team work!

Hey Mindy and Larry!kitchen looks great! If you want to change the cabinets without sanding them, I highly recommend gel stain. It’s brushed on in thin layers without requiring you to sand. There’s multiple colors to choose from too!

Love you guys but you have too many different design styles going on. Clock doesn’t go with the cabinet and neither matchs the chandelier. You can take cabinet doors to MAACO and they’ll paint them Flawlessly with the same equipememt the paint cars. Very affordable, also.

For the fridge handle get a magic eraser that should make it just as white as the other one, you could go over both of you wanted. Looking good though guys painting is allot of work! Love the clock that you bought. I like the older things too. I actually just bought a clock from the cracker barrel a couple weeks ago on sale. It is retro and has old fashioned looking whisks all the way around it. I live in an old 1890's home. Alot of the moldings and doors are all still from that time period. I love them. Keep the videos coming. I love watching them when I am cleaning or having my coffee in the morning. God Bless Mindy and Larry.

I love it! What a difference it's made. My only other suggestion would be to paint the pantry door, the cream color door. The perfect finishing touch would maybe be some new cabinet hardware. I'd call it done. I love you guys. Your a beautiful refreshing couple. Your content is always inspiring, tasteful, humble and real life. I never get bored.
