I’m sure others have said this but after watching three of your videos I have to say that: 1- you have a fantastic voice that mesmerizes the listener. 2- you back up your great voice with short, relevant, and thoughtful comments and directions. 3- you avoid trying to be a stand up comedian which makes your videos that much more effective. 4- you don’t repeat yourself and have never used the “um”, “aah”, “like” or other worthless linguistic weeds. This could be because you have intelligently chosen a voice-over technique rather than live commentary. 5- and let’s talk about your work: simply stunning. 6- Oh did I mention that you seem to be genuinely interested in teaching others and not in aggrandizing yourself (which you frankly could). Thank you for adding beauty to this world with your work and with your generosity in sharing what you know.

I have a very large canvas I've been saving for that, as I want puffy, pink and peach-tinted cumulous clouds on an azure background, but can't yet do a good job of it. Thanks for the tip, Mike. I googled the Uyuni salt flats and they're amazing! They reminded me of a vast sand bank on the west side of one of the Dutch Wadden islands. Every now and then a part of it is covered with a thin film of water, causing similar reflections as in the salt flats. Did a few paintings of it...

Love your vids and thank you! You are wonderful artist! I was searching for a list of colors ,especially the different blues….could you please provide them if possible? I’m a plein air painter but never painted with a brush and wanted to try your technique. I’ve only used a palette knife and creating a very thick application. I want to practice the gradation of different blues. I didn’t have any stippling brushes so I ordered some from Jerry’s. They are extremely soft and fluffy , does this seem accurate? Thanks again!

They're rather cheap and meant for doors and window frames. If your perfectionism is a problem, you probably also have a tendency to bite into one part of the painting until it's perfect. Switching regularly to another part (while thinking "This will do for now" ) has helped me a lot. After countless "This will do for nows" the painting is suddenly finished... Working simultaneously on another painting can be helpful too. A painting often looks different when you take a look at it after a few days.
