Thank you for this video. Yesterday when I was painting a bunny, after the first wash I was like ffs, I screwed up again, here we go. Then I realized Im saying this sentence in my head after every single first wash :D of every painting :D What you said makes total sense, there is not much after first wash, just big blobs of washed out colors so really what you have to do is to keep going and keep bringing the painting to life.
