You got my ass (I did mean with this kind of model though, I always think of cities of sigmar as people living in filth and covered in rats. Very drab, like it's giving "derelicte".)

I'm getting into sculpting small things with polymer clay, and I'm heavily influenced by mini painting for my sculptures. Does varnish serve as like a "save point" and mean you can do whatever you like over the top, while being able to preserve the below layers when wiping away? I'm not sure about the structural integrity of the varnish

Also, while I definitely love your narration, not enough people are commenting on your amazing painting skills!!!!! Everything looks so alive and vivid!!!

Also, apologies for so many comments in a row, but as someone who just defaults to using metallic paint instead of mattes, and who actively avoids drawing metal materials, the way you paint with matte points to create metallic effects is so helpful for me!!!!

No problem! Appreciate the comments pal. And exactly, satin varnish is like a save button for long projects with lots of layering.
