i know it's been 7 years since you uploaded this but i need you to know this is the piece that drew my attention to gouache in the first place and i watch it multiple times a year for inspiration, it's what made me want to try gouache. I'm by no means great at it but i'm slowly getting used to the medium. So thanks for the video it has been an inspiration

wow i find it interesting that you use such a cramped/small palette for so many colors and mixing. & u manage to keep the colors from mixing & going dirty. i love allll of your videos (except the camera video lol, i'm not interested in taping my own work just yet... but im sure it will become interesting when I do decide to do that..) lol. This is very pleasing! outstanding gouche painting skills. Gouche is fun but can also be tricky when trying to replicate colors and controlling edges. You have great skill to overcome both! looking foward to seeing more.

this is amazing! two questions, though: one, when you paint in one colour and then over the top in another (for example those tree bits in the bottom right) is it you changing your mind or are you blending? and two, is your glove thing to stop smears or just what you were wearing? thank you!

+superpyrrhocorax 1. I changed my mind. It was too light and too green for me. 2. It was pretty chilly while I was painting so thats kind of a running jacket I had that happened to have thumb holes. But I found it was really useful for sketching mostly, for smudges.

So beautiful! Are you using the gouache from the tube, or are you reactivating older gouache from your palette? One of the things that always bothered me about acrylics was how much paint I'd end up throwing out, and I got into watercolor because I like being able to just reactivate old paint. I'd like to get into gouache but I don't want to be wasteful of the paint.

+Aye Run Thanks! I used 90lb Stonehenge paper, it's smoother than other papers I've tried, like most watercolor paper.
