Absolutely love this loose style, of which I'm working at mastering, lol. I have a sketch of several horses that I've been wanting to paint and this loose style is perfect. Thank you for your video, wish me luck!

What a wonderful tutorial; what a wonderful finished piece. Horses are an all-time favorite subject, and watercolors of horses in this lovely style are captivating and are, yes, a goal. Thank you for sharing your expertise.

Beautiful. So much better than most of the horsey painting demos out there. Most of them look like paint by number sets, so afraid of going outside the lines.
@LyudmilaTomova3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! Glad you can see that! I agree, paint by numbers approach is very limiting.

Love your style! I want to learn to paint loose watercolor but having problem "letting go" .

Thank you! It takes practice...The more you paint, the "looser" and more confident you'll become.

Simply wonderful!!! ❤ What kind of paper do you use? How much do you feel that the paper can change the effects you want to your painting? Thank you so much! I subscribed! Kisses from Brasil!

Thank you! I usually use cold pressed Fabriano or Archies 140lb. Paper is probably the most important in watercolor painting, next to brushes. There are some other very good brands, Saunders, Canson and others, as long as they don't absorb the paint too much.

Why does your yellows not go green when you applied it on wet?? Did you wait till it dried before applying blue?( still don’t know why it’s not greenish ?) btw - I don’t have a problem with green lol but I’d love to know how you did that!!! ❤
@LyudmilaTomovaАй бұрын
It may have dried or my yellow was well saturated with enough pigment that overpowered the blue. Use cad yellow too.

I am working on motion in my watercolor work and you address that quite beautifully. I am finding it distracting & a bit hard to understand your audio. I turned to mute and could focus on your mark making and learned a lot. Thanks
