While the skin tones part was mind blowing, I really liked your explanation of vibrancy at the beginning. My sister used to paint and my parents were always like why can't she just get the basic colors and mix them to make the others. She was too young to explain the concept, it's nice to know there's a reason to it!
@null6955

also has to do with the fact that the primary colors we learn shouldn't actually be red, blue and yellow, but cyan, magenta and yellow (which jamie calls neons but same thing).

@@kaijohnson3255 yea i wish it were taught in schools. i went through four years of highschool art before finding out lool. it sucks too that there are so many products for beginner painters/artists with just red, blue, yellow, white and black claiming that's all you'd need! it's common knowledge but it's totally inaccurate 🤦🏻‍♀️

Wow this video is great and really informative thank you so much! I’ve recently been getting into drawing and I’m also a beginner makeup artist so this video actually helps with learning more about skin tones and undertones when is comes to shade matching people for makeup such as foundation. It really helps me get a better understanding of the colour wheel and how to achieve the different shade range including undertones as it’s pretty hard to understand colour concepts and how to get someone’s perfect match. Thank you once again, there aren’t many videos like these xo
