Thanks for the comments. I have more videos in production and they should be up soon. I will answer any questions that anyone might have. I'm here to help.My standard palette is Permalba white or lead white, ivory black, raw umber, ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, cad red medium, cad red light, cad orange, cad yellow med., cad yellow lemon. I incorporate other colors freely as needed especially earth colors. The most important color on my palette is raw umber....by far. Here is some of my best advice: Use as little white as possible. White is the poison of your picture when it comes to beautiful color. Also, use color straight from the tube in glazes to modify color. Glazes are the most powerful tool available to achieve sublime color effects. Glaze warm over cool and cool over warm to create subtle greys...which are the true power of your picture.Max

Yes I totally agree that it is important to "pass by the analytical left brain" - but it can also be interesting to compare once own preferences of brands, colors, mediums, linen, canvas, board or whatever in relation to watching the way of painting. I like your way of painting but would also like some info on your choice of materials - just out of curiosity and as a way of discovering things I maybe not knew

Glad to see you use your fingers too! People always are asking why all my finger tips are painted up. The glazes would have been interesting to see, they can be tricky. Also, the details in the first chiaroscuro were sort of glossed over... and the fact that you're an excellent draftsman with an eye for detail (which comes from lengthy observation of nature) should be mentioned. Good job, love this style. I wonder if Inness painted this fast?
