Guys who want to MAKE this brush on PROCREATE I have a configuration! In the Paint tab of the brushes, choose the flat brush and open its settings by giving another touch. In the first tab (tracing) Place the following values: Spacing 8.7%, streamline 0%, tremulation 0%, drop 0%. Below choose pressure narrowing, and choose size and pressure at MAX. In the Form tab put dispersion at 0% and rotation also at 0% and mark filtration shape with improved. In Granulate put everything in 0% and mark the filtration as Classica. In the Dynamica tab comes the most important: mark the brush as wet mixture and put dilution 95% and load at 84% attack by 1% and pull at 25%, gradation put everything to the right, and put all in dynamic of the opacity at 0%. In the Brush tab, put the opacity options on the max and angle at 62% (all others in this tab put 0%!). And lastly, in the General tab on the brush's behavior part, turn on the classic narrowing option and place the option to smudge at 90%. Its Done. Ps: I use procreate in Portuguese and so I may have translated some settings with different name!

for years, I would always say "I draw and paint like a sculptor... grab a rock, and knock out anything from said rock, that shouldn't be in my finished piece". This normally meant the actual design itself, color and hue changes being more of an afterthought (and sometimes happy accident) once the initial design is finished. I keep wanting to try starting with color, but I could never get past 5 minutes of frantic scribbling, and then going back.I couldnever get things exactly like I wanted, in the absurdly short amount of time I would experiment on it. (adhd or lazy? jury is still out on me.. lol) Wish I could have found this years ago, but thank you just the same, for helping to point me in the right direction!

It gets A LOT of practice to get used to the Dry brush blending. I think the thick and thin pen with the right settings and some color picking is able to achieve a similar result. I'm using blending set to balanced(you can find this under brush setting panels), resat 12% bleed 12% (you want to stick with the proportion that corel tells you to for a smoother color transition which is bleed lower than resat or equal but both lower than 10, I just set to 12 because it fits me better) I also set the smoothness in the size settings to 100% so there's no jagged lines and setting the brush tracking to linear (preset) helps a lot. thanks for the tutorials, it helps a lot and I'm always coming back to this one to reset my brushes.

This is an EXCELLENT overview of your approach to painting, and offers a wonderful insight. This tutorial actually *_IS_* a tutorial! (Imagine!) A quick question: Do you if know if the brush in question comes with "Painter Basics"? BTW: I used to be a big supporter of Painter, but it kept getting more and more bloated and they kept changing the interface. And of course there are a lot more "natural media" brushes in almost all painting software these days. I'm a HUGE fan of Manga Studio 5 currently.

so i had a bday a few days ago and decided to make my dream come true and bought wacom cintiq 13hd. i used to draw on paper with pencils, never colored anything, mostly sketching and stuff. you know.. i wanted to look up some coloring tutorials and found your videos. all this stuff seems so complicated to me. i don't even know where to start. but it all looks so impressive and cool, i want to try this out. thanks for these videos. just wanted to share and hit that like button.

There are some on the gumroads of some artists. But I do recommend to make your own.

Check out the blend brush (dripping paint on the icon) and play around with the settings. You can adjust how much paint you want to carry, how fast it wears off and so on. Hope this helps
