What? No brew this time? Oh my, you'll end up with a wrist brace for next week's episode! I must say that I had to go back and look to see why you changed the base color as I thought last weeks paint showed all the nooks and crannies better. And it did, but I see now how you have used different washes to accent the ones you wished to make more of a difference in. Excellent Job!!! Cheers, Dan

Thanks Dan and so far so good on this colour and by using the small artist brush i seem to get a better spread with colours. And the brew was taken of camera this time because everyone seem to like that part lol cheers Robert

Whatever it is, we still love doing mountains on railways...It's really coming along great!!! It's looking great Robert. AND, I think it will just keep looking better. Regards, Solomon

You should try my method on one small section. I think you will like the results, which will be very similar to what you are doing now, but a lot quicker. You are doing a wonderful job and each person has their own preferences for sure.

Your Layout is looking more like a model RR with every new Vid Robert , Have you tried pigment washes at 16-1 / 32-1 this is what I use on my rocks & would be a lot faster
@csxmad7 жыл бұрын
Yes i did use the pigment washes on the last layout and really liked them, but i thought i would go something different by using the acrylic washes this time cheers Robert
@jvanamb6 жыл бұрын
Robert, Absolutely perfect tune of wash. What is your solution ratio of black to water to acquire that gray tone. I despise using straight black wash for weathering. But I will be following you. SEE YOU DOWN THE LINE, Jim
@csxmad6 жыл бұрын
Jim i use about 1 part black to about 60 parts water.The way i do it is place a cap of black paint in a cup and keep filling up with water and mixing until i get the paint to start running down, if the paint just sticks to the plaster add more water until it starts running down, or if it is too thin ad more paint hope this helps cheers Robert

Just noticed the one thing you will be mad about. You need to ballast the area from the opening of all tunnels to where you can not see any more inside. It is a bitch to do well after you get the tunnel portal and the rock above the track in. Do all of the ballasting before you get t to the rock work. Just ballast from outside the tunnel to inside and then after you get all of the rock work done, you can then finish the work on the track... Beautiful detail n your rock work. Just remember when dey brushing any highlights, there is but one sun and that needs to be shown and one should not have the highlights coming from several angles. Just one sun - just one angle for the highlights.
@csxmad7 жыл бұрын
David thanks for the comment and i can reach the inside of the tunnels so ballasting should be ok. and with the highlights your right about the angles will try and get better at this part cheers Robert
