I was recommended to add a fixative after I painted it. After applying the fixative I let it dry for 24 hours. The bag was shipped back to the supplier so I am not sure of it's condition anymore. I have another bag that have floral paintings on them and so far they are ok. It depends on how much you use them as they can still crack and peel off. :)

I painted a faux leather bag myself for the first time and it has been 48 hours and it still feels sticky and not dry. I used acrylics. What do I do? Please help. 😭

Try to go a place, where they color shoes. They could color the bag again. Try to dry it with hot Air. Acrilic for textile You user?

There is a sealer called “finisher” you can buy from Angelus brand. They produce acrylic paints for leather and you might also need a leather preparer before starting to paint
