If you are an American woman you have a better chance because there will be fewer applications and a higher preference given. Don't get discouraged about the odds though because it says there is a list of chosen folks and that could be very beneficial to your work even though it is tough to win even at that stage. perception of your ideas from the view of fellow innovators is one of the best ways to get new ideas and fill in holes of ideas and innovations (such a surreal process).
