I almost missed this video. I'm glad the liquify trick worked. Krita is really cool, but sometimes it needs to be used more gently than other programs. Actually I've been working on getting likeness right lately, so this video aligns with that. That might be the number 1 thing I'm the most insecure about with my pieces and I've been for years. Edit: I just checked back on how you did it and there's a tiny thing I want to add. I saw that you used one single layer, did the selection, then liquified. That thing can create a small 1-2 pixel-ish gap on the layer you're working on and it might be visible in the end, especially if there's a layer behind it with a different color. The way I do it is by making a selection, then copying the small part into a new layer, then doing the liquifying, then merging down.
