:) Hey thank you! I'm glad you came by today too. I'm coming out of a certain era of life/content and want to be intentional in pivoting the future direction/vibe of what I post to positive, art-centric videos that feel a little more focused and tailored for viewers. We'll see how it goes X)

Random thoughts follow. Pursuing Wonder suggests movement. Through geography, time, meaning, and perhaps enlightenment. Another reading is that Wonder is pursuing you, which may suggest danger or attraction. All invite images of the pregnant movement just before clarity. Anyway, love your channel. Hullo Robin, I am excited for you and your upcoming show! I congratulate you and I believe that you will have success. I am not sure how you measure success, having a show looks to me as a success so I wish you all versions of success that you desire! I am going to offer unsolicited advice: I don’t believe longer Artist statements are read completely, short and sweet is best. Give your attendees a glimpse into the direction of your show and you, not a dissertation on the presented art. I have been a part of several shows, only 2 solo shows creating artworks for those nearly drove me over the edge! I recall the second show I participated in was a true revelation for me and others. The most popular piece was a 12 inch by 12 inch painting. We all had 8x8 foot sections of wall to display our paintings. Some used every inch! This lady centered her jewel of art in the center and people were drawn into viewing the small abstract painting. It seemed surrounded by huge pieces to either side but people found it lovely and quite desirable, it was the first piece sold and not the cheapest offered! If you have a precious piece be sure to give it the space it needs to shine. My last observation is that there is nothing wrong with movie poster art, I have several in my collection and I often have one displayed in my home for anyone to enjoy. One piece is the artwork that the movie poster is based upon/ made from and I take an especial pride in ownership of it! I am not traveling with the state of things but I am wishing you only the very best, knowing that you are truly inspirational, an amazing artist and a delightful person. Stay safe and be well!

thank you! It's developed differently than I anticipated! I was inspired by an abstract sketchbook painting by Elisabeth Couloigner so I just got to see what it would look like as I pushed it more realistic. Painting it sideways to switch up perspective made me realize I also really like it as a horizontal piece even though it was intended as a vertical reflection.

If I lived in the area I would go. My last solo show happened in 2019 right before the Pandemic hit. Then my gallery decided to close because of COVID. I haven’t had once since but I’m close to getting another one. I really like seeing you work on a larger scale. It seems to have pushed you to loosen your brushwork and become more expressive

thank you! yeah XD I couldn't unsee something like Taken or Lion King when I would stare at it hah I'm still open to bringing figure into the show, but originally it was a more actively part of my show plan, now it'll just depend on if I figure out a piece that calls for it. A 'the rest is still unwritten' moment for portraiture, but I'm excited for the directness focusing on landscapes give me moving forward with prep

hey robin!!! I’m a painter and I just wanted to thank you for all you do. I wont be able to make it to your show as I’m 2k miles away, but I wanted you to know how big of an inspiration you are to me. I graduated with a BFA in 2021 and with everything going on w covid, and me graduating without knowing if I’d be able to find a job with an art degree, my art practice fell off the wayside and I didn’t pick it up again until I watched a video of yours and realized nothing would change unless I changed it. Thank you so much for inspiring me to continue creating, as I’m on my way to a group exhibition opening next week and a vending opportunity next weekend. Despite all the imposter syndrome, anything is possible, and thank you for helping me get here ❤
