Painting The Brake Calipers On A 2014 Toyota Tundra, Platinum CrewMax

I've got another caliper painting video for you!!! Last time, I painted the calipers while they were still on my 2011 Toyota 4Runner. I knew that I should have recorded the bleeding, but the first part of the brake job took too long (filming doubles the time) and I was running out of time. Awesome video. I think you went with the power stop pads and rotors from the looks of it… but those look like the stock calipers? Any reason why you didn’t get the power stop calipers and stuck with the stock? Btw I think I maybe going with burnt copper now also instead of red!!! Love the color!!

Thanks for checking out the video. You're right. I did get the power-stop kit (pads and rotors). To be honest with you, I'm not sure why I didn't get the power-stop calipers. It's possible that they weren't available at the time and I wanted to get all of the parts right away. Yeah ... I painted the calipers on my previous video red, so I thought I'd do something different this time. They turned out pretty good.

I too kept it stock with the calipers when it came time to replacing mine, as far as pads and rotors go…I went the same route as you…have you noticed any squeaking at all? And what about the first 500 miles or so, did the brakes take time to “break”in Also, would you say that this is a significant upgrade from the stock pad/rotor performance??

@@toyotaFANatic81 First off, Well done videos. You speak clear, slow, steady and direct so I can understand without playing back a hundred times like other videos. Second. Great looking truck. My 16 Crew is almost identical and I'm loving the color you picked for the calipers. Now more importantly How have your power stops held up? I did my brakes a little over a year ago and went with power stops. Just a little over a year and I'm replacing everything already so I'm not such a fan of power stop anymore.

@@ramalamaone Hey, man! I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the brakes. Luckily, I have had ZERO issues with both my front and rear brakes since I installed them back in 2022. They're still performing well.

Hey, man!! Thanks for watching the video. I really appreciate the support!!!! Those tail lights are Smoked LED tail lights. They are sold by 3rd-party sellers on E-Bay, so they don't really have a brand name. I simply went to eBay, typed in "smoked tail lights for Tundra," and the search spit out 20 options for me. Super easy. You can find these ones or similar ones on E-Bay. I hope that helps!
