For those concerned about insulation on the roof, there will be lots of it. We have to meet code for Northern Utah and Zeb is building a ventless insulation system above this portion of the roof when he does the roofing on the addition. 😊👍

Jami Ray Vintage I love the rustic farmhouse look you've done with this instead of putting in a gyproc ceiling. I've been planning on doing this to my ceiling downstairs. I like it being open that way bc there's easy access to pipes & wiring if needed in future & it's very typical of real farmhouses from years ago. Looks lovely!

Progress! Those white lamps will work really well up there now. They won't stick out like a sore thumb and will give the entire area plenty of light. This is an excellent preview of how open and inviting your entire space will be. Jack's getting bigger, darn it! lol He's such a good helper, too.

WOW! Now I want ALL MY SHIPLAP spray painted... it is so much faster! But I can’t stand the thought of COVERING EVERYTHING IN MY HOME! LOL!!! It looks so much bigger now! Fabulous... fabulous! Jack is getting SO BIG!! 😍(I guess my Nana is coming thru) He's such a sweetheart! I bet his painted items are already sold. Zeb I give your spraying form an A+ !! My X sprayed urethane foam (this was 35+yrs ago before they had it available for homes) and coatings on a large scale. When I met him he was spraying the wine tanks in the winery I worked at. One word of caution when you get to the foam spraying part. PLEASE. Don't skimp on safety gear. Acide and Bcide are NO joke. A spray mask isn't adequate to protect you. You need full body coat. The fumes are wicked. Last bit of caution. Beware of overspray. The company had a dept that handled oversprayed cars, buildings etc. I'm happy things are moving forward on the home front.

Terry it’ll get the shingles stripped off and insulated. Zeb is adding false rafters above this roof to hold the insulation and doing a standing seam system to match the new addition roof. 😊

Could you tint shellac? Just wondering. I first heard of using it in1965 when our ceiling had water stains from Hurricane Betsy. Been using the stinky Kilz which works but I can't handle the smell. I don't like the water based Kilz.
