Not a lot in it, and either way is just a blast to paint. Something really nice and fun about painting skeleton hordes. Any one else really like clean, simple, paint jobs?

I’m incredibly impressed with how you applied the speedpaint to the flat shield. So you would say thinning, and applying careful coats is the secret here?
@WatchItPaintIt11 ай бұрын
I find a lot of paint so the weight of it pulls away (down the shield) also works fine for me too. But 2 thin coats did give a good look here didn’t it? Without altering the colour i wanted too much. My advice would be to try both and see if you feel the gain of the extra time is worth it! At the end of the day on the tabletop at 3 feet from your eyes you’re probably not even going to notice :D

Great video, and very funny. Poor Benson, but he seems like a good sport. I liked seeing both techniques side by side with commentary. Speed paint definitely will make production easier. What I think was missing, and honestly not sure how to represent it, but what speed paint can provide for a very novice painter, the technique Benson used would need instructions to complete. Speed paint for the win.

Benson is great. Was proud of his work given he hasn’t filmed painting for years and never been on camera. He made this weeks video very fun for me! Definitely need to be less mean to him though :-D I’ll work on myself. That’s good to hear. I think you’re right, Speedpaint is just slap it on and hope. And you can practice with it and get better and better. But even from the beginning it’s good. Traditional painting needs layers, and shading and highlighting and drybrushing and techniques. Can feel overwhelming! It’s all easy though just needs time and practice :) happy paintng

I have a dream of Benson being a guest host, but exactly how it's presented here. How he almost tries to speak at times but something or someone interrupts him everything so it becomes an on going gag like Jay and Silent Bob

I love this idea and I know Benson would too :-D does it ruin it when he speaks in the outtakes though? :D

Good choice on minis with square bases. I assume Benson is still deathly afraid of circles?

Hahaha. I 100% meant to make that joke in the video but forgot as I was rushing with commitments. Well remembered :-D

GW: We're releasing brand new kits but with 20+ year old minis in them. Players: Cool, that should make it cheaper. GW: Why the hell would you think that 🤣
@bremer17019 ай бұрын
It is cheaper. Well at least a little bit.

is Benson intentionally using the paints out of the pot to sell the speed paints?
@WatchItPaintIt6 ай бұрын
Hahaha. No I think he just failed to thin them like he normally does. Panicking over being filmed :-D

Given he’s never been on camera before I thought he’s expressions were amazing :-D totally with you, Speedpaint is like cheating for bone!
