Painting the Suzuki Savage Chopper

In the fourteenth part of the Savage Chopper series, I’m finally ready for painting. But painting a motorcycle in a makeshift spray booth in your garage turns out to be more of an adventure than I expected.
In this video series I'm trying to take a stock Suzuki LS650 Savage from 1995 and transform it from a regular old motorcycle into a chopper.

Ok looks like you found out the hard way about paint lol. Yup it gets everywhere and I mean everywhere . Worse thing I always had even in a professional booth is the floor always got sticky . 2nd is if somethings gonna fall off it's usually just after or as you are finishing the last passes . I was a little disappointed you filled the mudguard and not chop out the rust considering you took all that effort with the little holes . . However overall your still doing a great job . Looking forwards to seeing it assembled . Respect Brother

Yes, I forgot to mention that in the video, but you are totally right about the floor! I will have to do some improvements to the booth before the next paint session. Luckily I had my thing fall just before painting it, so at least something went my way. 😉 I did consider chopping out the rusted part. But at the same time the fender had multiple layers of metal and the structural part were still intact, and that area will be covered by the seat, so I thought filling it would be good enough. Thank you! I'm stoked to finally be able to start putting things back together! 🤘

@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot If your using 2k use an air fed mask as the fumes are nasty and filters don't remove it

@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot I use acrylic paint then go over with 2k clear coat works really well . I do clear coat outdoors , not perfect solution but better than in enclosed space

@@nounoufriend1442 Yeah, for next time I will probably move everything outside, or get some really good ventilation, or maybe both. 😅
