@nlovewithreborns2011 I had such a problem. Then I tried doing Prismacolor pencils for hair. No luck. I am trying g to paint it. I went through all the steps. While I was putting in one of the eyes ended up rubbing off paint.

Hi, I found your videos while searching for tutorials on reborning. You have done some amazing work. I have just bought my first kit and it has come with all the paint needed. However, they're all air dry paints. I just wanted to double check that it's the same principle when painting the dolls and just doesn't need to be baked?

I do my varnish in the beginning so I don't need to do it at the end. I do seal the hands and feet again at the end. It only looks so easy cause I have been doing this for 10 years now. Lots of hard work to get to where I am and sometimes a kit will challenge me, making it not so easy. LOL

I knew that a baby could be painted in a day or a few hours, I think that the most time consuming is rooted. I do not like to use sponges much, it is very tiring and it takes a long time to apply the paint. Without knowing it, I decided to apply with a brush and then remove the excess with the sponges. Thanks for this tutorial

Oh how cool. You cna keep addedong the pink and yellow washed until you get a color you like. Those two add the life I feel. Feel free to email me some pics of your doll and I can try to tell you what color to do:)

Thank you I’ve enjoyed your painting tutorial but I have a question about the baking. A reborn shop I wanna buy the kit at. Stated not to bake a reborn inside your house they say you best do it outside and never in an oven you use for food.. my question is now.. how am I suppose to bake it then? I’m new to reborn and really wanna try it out yet if I can’t bake it i obviously won’t be able to do so and I really can’t buy an oven just to try out if creating reborns is for me or not.. do you have any suggestions?

You can bake it in your oven, that is just fine. Have fan near a window to push around the air and bring fresh air in. I just recommend getting a nuwave eventually. That way your doll isn't baking where you eat. Other than that, it is okay to do as long as you have a ventilated room in my opinion.

Heat gun is fine for reborn work. I do prefer the oven as I know its getting an even bake. :) I am happy the tutorials are helping you. You go!

Could you please help me, when I do the first step of thinning medium I find that it turns spots of the doll white, is there a way I can prevent or fix it? Thanks! Love your tutorials

Yes, easy fix. You need to bake the doll at least two times when you use thinning medium. Flip the sides over so each side gets the direct heat. If you still have white spots bake again. Keep baking until gone. What that means is your varnish is too thick in those areas. Normally you just need to bake two times. :) Let me know how it goes.

I received my Ava kit early today but I’m not receiving my wedges until Friday! Hopefully I’ll remember to update lol UPDATE: It’s a month later but I ended up hating the paint job, I’m receiving a twin b today and hopefully I like it more I’ll try to update! 3 MO UPDATE: Twin b never came. Macphersons scamed me, I got a Blake from bountiful baby and I have a Tibby hopefully coming this week from bountiful baby. Again I’ll try to update but then again maybe see you in 3 months
