Nice one Alex. I made a 15mm house recently and painted the Lower edges of the roof black to simulate guttering and then glued pieces of plastic coated wire painted black running from the gutter down the wall for the drain pipes at the front and back. It looks quite effective.

Another solid video. I have found that with pre-coloured MDF, from 4Ground for example, buildings look too pristine as they lack this kind of weathering. I like your texturing stage here but do you think it could work on a pre-paint? I guess finding a close matching colour to dab onto the textured sections would be key. Thanks again, Mr 5,000-plus.

Thank you! It's hard to say, with a prepaint I'd be tempted just to use the washes and weathering powders, which would certainly add some points of interest. Finding the right colour of grout may be difficult as it's usually white anyway. You may be able to recolour it with a dye perhaps, but that may solidify it instead.

Really nice techniques and end building. Not heard of Flory before but I’ll give them a look. This is going to look great on the table

Thank you, the Flory washes are the best on the market IMO. Well worth investing in.

Never thought of using Tin Foil for the roof leading, even when I have done complete roofs using tin foil corrugated sheets I always used paper! Thanks for the tip!

You're welcome. It's a nice material to work with and looks slightly more 'realistic' than paper, which I've used myself in the past.

Hi, can you please tell me what you are using as foliage on the buildings at the end?
@StormofSteelWargaming2 жыл бұрын
Its just some railway modellers foliage stuff that I picked up years ago. I can't remember what it's called unfortunately.

May I point out that this house looks way bigger than 15mm.There.
@Vlad65WFPReviews3 жыл бұрын
I have found that some newer 15mm buildings often do look seem larger than in years past. However, looking at the scale of the doorways in this model and comparing it to 15mm figuresit does look like the larger buildings are "truer" - although that will create a somewhat larger "footprint" on the table, especially if you have several of them.
