My youtube recommended this video to me completely out of the blue (was never interested in painting decoys or decoys in general) but I still watched it whole!! It's always a pleasure to listen to somebody so passionate about their work! Thank you and good luck :)

Thank you Tom for doing this. I’m working on a Canvas back Drake and the side pocket feather’s which are white on white and this video has helped greatly. I’m sure your painting videos would help as well.

Tom, I had never heard of using the clear water on a clean brush to soften the look. I could see the difference the water made on camera. Boy you have such a steady had on your quills and splits. I know, practice practice. I watch the Guyette and Deeter website, and last week one of your brants from about 30 years ago showed up, and this week, a Black duck from 2011 is on auction. There have also been some Rick Johannsen, Dick Rhode and Tom Matus decoys on their the last couple weeks for auction. Bruce Brandeberry

Thanks Bruce. Yes, those decoys were from Gordon Mulava’s collection. He was a friend and avid collector and sadly, has passed away.

@tomchristieart Жыл бұрын
Thanks Randy. I do plan on carving a drake pintail down the road but it will be a while. Have to get to some other birds first. I do appreciate the suggestion!
