Sorry folks, I'm the monkey in wrench. This show is amazing.. But not for the reasons the fans think. Yes, I admit I need to get to that "higher level" like them, cause any show where your watching a celebrity..of sorts..and think that whatever he pontificates is provocative because he knows how to apply wet paint to an empty canvas, while leading a Bohemian lifestyle with what seems to be that he wants for nothing is somehow just as captivating as witness ing a car crash...All I know is, he missed the best way to close out Season 1... He told this great anecdote about him, a talented bright artist that he is, couldn't either understand or just not get the apparent inner complexities of operating a gas oven. He went to light it, not knowing it was already spewing gas..and it exploded, throwing him back in the kitchen...And that moment wasn't taped!!... Big mistake. I'd pay HBO three times my monthly fee to see that... It would've been great!.... If you need to see the exact dynamic I'm referring to, by all means seek out a great cartoon called "Show Biz Bugs". With Bugs and Daffy...see the end where Daffy, after multiple failures, does a great one man act that the audience love and cheers...cause if John did that, I'd applaud and love him to.....OK folks, let's stay tuned for all the "You just don't get the show." comments coming in the replies....Shh don't tell anyone, but I get exactly what the show's model is, and still think exactly what it is.

Might be one of the most borring and uninteresting shows I've ever had the displeasure of watching. It's like Bob Ross but with low quality and un-funny skits placed between. Mixed with the ramblings of someones half senile grandfather.
