I recently had to have major surgery and to help me feel better, I had a small party before hand - and we did this with dollar store water guns (almost exactly like the small blue and white ones you had) and craft paint/cheap kids acrylics. The more vibrant the color originally the better it did; we did about 1:1 on the thicker paints, including the ones with glitter or neon. It was amazing and cathartic. We also did a large canvas with parts taped off with painter's tape to create a really cool negative effect, and we did both white and black canvases. Mostly we did just squiggles but I went in later and on one I added a sorta-kinda portrait with the small guns and some condiment squirt bottles (very controlled application right at the canvas surface). It came out so good and it was wonderful to have this collaborative joyous art to look at while I recovered at home. Also, we experimented with letting it dry and then turning the canvas to get different directions of splatter and drip. Doing tons of layers gave it real interesting depth. There was something INCREDIBLY stress-relieving about standing 1-3 feet away and just shooting the canvas over and over. And for many of my friends who are not artists, it was just 'messy' and 'no rules' enough that they were willing to go after it without worrying they'd 'mess up my art'.

I do the same thing with my daughter! But we use the Crayola washable paint that they sell at the dollar tree. And we get whatever cheap water guns and canvases they have. Mix in a little water, set up under the tree in the backyard on a nice day and we spend some time making paintings for family and friends! Plus the paint is washable and non toxic, so it's safe fun and easy to clean up! 😄👍

You are so much fun. The best application for this is simply having fun and having an all out paint war on your boss. So you win. You gave your team the best gift. I honestly feel like this would be a super fun a way to spend a weekend grab a couple of friends and go blow off a bunch of stress on some canvas and each other. If you were really looking to make art with this, I would suggest pouring medium over water to make sure that you don’t break the binders in your paint and prevent cracking and crazing. 😘
