Dusan, This is only the second of your demo's that I have watched, (just came across your site by chance)! This is the first time that I have seen this kind of approach for the commencement of a piece of art work - INTRIGUING, FASCINATING and INSPIRING and one that I will 'have to try' :). Clearly, you are right 'ON TOP OF YOUR GAME'. I was there, with you all of the way, the intensity of emotional involvement, building within me as you progressed, so much so that at 17.06, I had to involuntarily laugh out loud, it felt as though you had sent a ' personal' message - "Anthony start to Breath Again"! As a point of interest, I think many viewers would be interested to see an image of your 'Source' material, be it Plein Aire or Photographic, as you know there is much to be learned by viewing comparisons. In conclusion, I am interested to know the significance of the small (Artist signature - syrilic?) symbol at 25.52 ? In the mean time ' All power to your palette knife - ALL HAIL DURSAN' ! Peace to You and Yours.

Thanks for that Anthony, you should give it a try. Just be careful as it's pretty easy to pierce the canvas ( I've done that once and thought I had imagined it as it slipped diagonally behind what I had just painted ) Every now and then I break in concentration and remember I'm filming it, glad it made you laugh. They're all studio easel paintings, the plein air has taken a back seat which is sad, but not practical for certain times of day or subjects ( however you never stop looking at things and putting ideas together and observing light and shadow) . As far as source material is concerned the idea comes first or setting then I work from there. I tend to improvise, change a lot of things as I go along. The symbol at the end is how I sign my work which came from my high school days mostly inspired by my art teacher and fascination with Dürer's work.
