I just started painting about 8 months ago right after I got my last cancer treatment. I am now in remission. Anxiety was consuming my life till I found the world of art. It had always been in my blood, brewing, and now is my passion. My family is full of artist's. I hope to someday be great!!! I absolutely have been inspired by you and many others. Thank you!!! 🎨 🖼 ❤

Painting helped me when my wife died. I felt everything came to an end. I picked up my knife and thru tears I painted a mountain scene. Right after that, I knew things would get better for me.

Painting had the opposite affect with me. My GF died in 2011 and for some weird reason I associated painting with her and it took me yrs of PTSD, and therapy to finally be able to pick up a brush. So glad art helps you deal with your grief

Looks like it took weeks (not an hour). I chose this for your clouds and sky technique (for a backgammon board I’m painting) and ended up learning so much more, wow! Your palette knife job on the mountain was phenomenal - - even my partner stopped what he was doing, to watch in awe! Thanks, too, for your constant talking on what your doing throughout your painting. You’re a natural artist! You showed me that I can use oils now (and stop using acrylics, which dry too quickly for me, even with extenders). you’ve proven that you can paint layers upon layers without having to wait hours for oils to dry; a game-changer for me. Thank you so much :)

Breathtaking to see the final results of this 'easy' mountain vista, Justin! Hey my brother! Another awesome painting!! You really are quite expert at mountains . As you know, the entire key to becoming a great paint artist is knowing how to mix colors without creating muck! Also, you have a really solid grasp on light and shadow as well!! Thank you for explaining the angles of the light, and how to accent that light while keeping the shaded areas in balance. It is absolutely spelling-binding to watch you bring the mountain scenery to life. I live in the mountains and this painting makes me feel like I have just rounded the path and came upon the river. I especially liked the dead tree, as they are certainly part of mountain living, and this has continued to encourage me to take up painting in the near future.
