So glad I came across this. I have a strong prescription too! My lenses are thick even with getting a high index lense. I often get self conscious because my script tends to distor my face shape (makes my eye area indent). But I see tha thappens to you and you are stunning! So this truly inspired me to just wear the glasses without self doubt!

This is great thank you!!! I've been having the same issues with my plastic frames to where it's just become second nature to constantly push them up. I'm so excited to try out these tips and also start my pair eyewear journey ❤❤

Omg, it's like you were talking about all my issues with glasses! I have exactly the same issue, and I always feel embarrassed going back and forth to the opticians. I have the narrow bridge and my ears aren't completely symmetrical. Then you get them tightened and give it some time and they start hurting. Then if there is a temperature difference that affects the plasicots a whole issue again. I'm alreading looking at getting those silicone things.

Hi there! You're friendly retired optician here. There's are all art in fitting glasses that you realize but others don't realize until their glasses start either sliding down their nose or they feel pain behind their ears. I am bragging a bit but I considered myself an expert at making sure neither thing happened when I did a fitting. I realize just how critical that is to someone especially to someone had was going to be wearing glasses for the first time. Many times patients tend to be in a rush and don't want to take the time to make sure their glasses are fitting right and are comfortable as well. The thing i hated to see was when someone came in and I removed their glasses and looked behind their ears and saw beet red where the earpieces were rubbing too tight. Now that just made my job much more difficult because now even having the earpieces gently touching their ears i going to be somewhat painful until that heals. So i feel your pain. I'm happy to report that your glasses, based on what I'm able to see, appear to be about as perfect of a fit as they could possibly be. The frame is as straight as possible based on your eyebrows. Your beautiful eyes are very nicely centered in your lenses and the bridge seems to perfect for you narrow nose. I never saw your glasses move even a millimeter down your nose. I actually watched, and of course commented, a video of a young woman wearing glasses and in the first six minutes and 4 seconds she had to push her glasses back up 26 times. I wanted so badly to reach through my screen and take her glasses off and fit them for her. I'm sure she has gotten so used to doing that, that she doesn't realize how often she's doing it. Hopefully by be pointing it out to her she will watch her video and count for herself. I suggested that she can go to any optical store and have hem do a fitting for her at no charge. It's actually dangerous for her glasses to be sliding down so often in that short amount of time. If she were out driving and not quick enough to push her glasses back up and they fell completely off while she was driving on a highway would she be able to see well enough to drive until she could pull over and find her glasses or would everything just a blur without her glasses? You drive a car and I'm sure you would never want your glasses to somehow come off while driving. I think adding the soft nose pads and the temple covers is a great idea. I'm sure their silicone and that is not only nice and soft but not as slick as the plastic nose pads of your glasses are. Being slick of course can cause your glasses to want to slide especially on a warm day and even slight moisture on your nose would cause them to slide. When you wear glasses fulltime you want and need your glasses to as comfortable as possible and you have clearly done that. I know you have tons of "toppers" for your glasses and that a nice way to give yourself a slightly different look just by changing the topper. But as nice as that is, i really like you're glasses without any topper and just as clear framed glasses. Like i said in other videos, you're really very attractive and as good as you look wearing glasses it's even better being able to see your face through clear frames. Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

Hi there, and yes I know, I have watched videos as well and notice all the time how many times the person pushes up their glasses and yeah you kinda get used to it so you don't realize how much. But I've always dealt with the problem with the plastic frames and I know it can be very bothersome and yes dangerous. Some people might not realize how dangerous it is to have a loose fit on your glasses where they can easily get knocked off or fall off. And yes I drive with my glasses but I could not see without them even to be able to pull off on the side of the road. So yes I make sure my glasses are a good fit and don't fall off no matter what I do. I am very happy I came across this little cheap fix because it makes wearing plastic frames so much better and more comfortable. It doesn't even feel like I have them on at all. And they sit well on my face now where I actually look out of the lenses where I should be without having to tilt my head back lol. And yes I love my black ella frames and all my toppers but yes I am very happy to have the clear frames since I can no longer wear my framless glasses I had years ago. I like to be able to show more my face sometimes and in pictures and videos. And just the fact that it is nicer to have framless or clear frames because I can see better out of them too not seeing the black or colored frames. Stayed tuned for my new videos coming soon! I'll be showing off some new toppers and I'll be posting up a organization video to show how I store all my glasses and toppers😊

Sorry for not responding back to you for over a year. Even though I'm retired it really bothers me when I see someone constantly having to push their glasses back up in place. I know they can't be enjoying wearing their glasses nearly as much as they should be. I'm very impressed with your knowledge of adjusting your own glasses. Your advice was dead on about always using a hair dryer to heat or warm up plastic framed glasses before attempting to do any adjusting of them. You found the perfect solutions for keeping your glasses in place. Neither will do any harm to your glasses. As an optician I remember a company came out with really small rubber rings that you slid over the the temples all the way into the hinge area which would cause the temples to fit tighter on both sides of your face. But what they were actually doing was spreading the frame apart even more. So the slide over pieces for the earpieces is a very good idea. Being a nice soft rubber should make the earpieces even more comfortable around your ears as well. And the pieces that fit on the nose pads of your glasses are also a nice idea. If anything you may need to replace them every so often due to skin moisture getting on the inside of the pads. How easy is it to clean old makeup off of those pads? Depending on how dependent you are on your glasses to see does in fact fact make it a bit dangerous for you if your glasses were to somehow be knocked or blown off your face. This would be especially true when driving. I can see that you have a rather strong prescription and without your glasses it would be impossible for you to see to drive a car. As you say just trying to get off to the side of the road would be quite a challenge to your eyes. What's the worst scary thing that has ever happened to you in regards to being without glasses? I'm sure you have probably had at least one time if not more. It has to be extremely scary when you aren't able to see very well without glasses and somehow you are without them. I watched a video of you singing a song wearing those rimless glasses. By the way very nice voice and well done on the song. I've always been a fan of rimless and semi-rimless frames because they really do allow the face to be seen so much better than a full plastic style frame. In a way it's almost as if your not even wearing glasses at all because all anyone can see is your clear lenses in front of your beautiful eyes. Aside from a possible prescription change is there any other reason why you can't wear rimless glasses anymore? It shouldn't be because of your strong prescription since you should be fine with the thinner high index lenses in your glasses. Of course "toppers" would never work for rimless glasses.

I’m so glad I found your video, because this is the first time I’m taking the plunge with Pair, but I’ve always had these problems with plastic glasses. Do you tend to be hot? Cause I finally figured it must be my body temperature, especially in the summer.

Where do you go to get your glasses adjusted? I ordered some from this company but normally your glasses have to be adjusted and I was wondering if I would have to take them to the eye place at my eye doctor. Will they adjust them even though I didnt buy them there. ❤❤
