I have to say, unfortunately I don't love them. I actually never wear them anymore. Something just seems a little off with the prescription. The concept is amazing but I'm afraid the quality of the actual glasses is not great. I don't want to wear them and mess up my vision!

@@WendiLee I don't know much about Pair Eyewear except to say that even though I like the idea of the toppers which gives the glasses many different looks. However the price of the toppers seems quite expensive for really nothing more than a clear sunglass clip. As you know you can easily buy sunglass clips for under $5.00. But as far as the prescription issue that's an even bigger issue. Of course you want and need the prescription to be as accurate as possible. As a former optician this is what I would suggest to you. Take your glasses to where you either had your eyes examined at last or where you last bought glasses locally. Most likely it will be the same place. They can easily check and compare the prescription of the Pair Glasses to your prescription. Then if it is found that the glasses do in fact have an inaccurate prescription I would urge you to contact the people at Pair. They need to know because someone didn't do their job in checking and double checking the prescription before sending them to you. It doesn't matter that it's now been nearly a year ago. The store I worked in and managed employed mostly young women women and nearly all of them wore glasses. Even though they each received a free pair of glasses every 6 months as a part of their benefit package. They were often going on-line to numerous glasses sites ordering even more glasses from them. When they first started ordering on-line I insisted that they would first allow me to check their glasses for accuracy of the prescriptions in their glasses. Just to be sure what happened to you didn't happen to them. As it turned out in every case their glasses as just as accurate as glasses made in our lab. So please don't judge other glasses sites by this experience. Here are three sites my girls were ordering from that i found to be very good in every way. Zenni Optical, Lensmart, and Payne Glasses. Zenni has quite few pairs that come with a magnetic sunglass clip. I'm surprised that so far none of the other sites have copied the idea of toppers to change the look of glasses as well. .

@@KaGamer123 I was an optician, now retired. just so you know the cost of doing that with the new lenses having an AR coating will be just about $100.00. What Wendi should have done was to first take her glasses to where she last had her eyes examined at and have them check the prescription of her glasses. We always do that when anyone comes in for an eye exam. If they have glasses we always check and mark what the prescription is in their glasses. This is done for several reasons. One is so the doctor has a good starting point with the exam and also we do a quick check on the simulator to see how much change there is between their glasses and what there able to see now. Anyway if the glasses are in fact made in a wrong prescription you should be able to get Pair to replace them at no cost to you as well offering extra "toppers" as well for here error. But you need to be sure what the doctor 's prescription is matches exactly what you used to order your glasses with. Even if it were to be your mistake it's possible that Pair might be kind enough to replace them anyway as good will thing. I'm sure pair never wants to see something like this happen. Wendi's comments could easily cost them hundreds of dollars in sales.

Your PD (pupillary distance) is needed to order them WITH your prescription so just call your eye doctor and tell them you are ordering glasses online and you need your PD. They’ll give it to you. It’s something they have on record but they just don’t put it on your prescription.

Good Luck, they don’t always like to give you your PD over the phone or even in person. Because they do not want you to order online and lose your business.I have found resistance at most places when asking for it, but one day I lucked out and asked a new employee for mine and she wrote it down. I saved that and write it on my written subscriptions from now on.I order from Zenni optical all the time with no problems, but would love to try Pair wear .

My wife just ordered hers. She is very petite, so she had to order from the kids frames selection. They have the frame specs listed online and we just matched measurements from her current glasses. The wife got her glasses and they are a perfect fit. She has since ordered $100 worth of toppers. She can't wait for them to arrive.

Having the "toppers" is great because it's almost like having different glasses. My biggest issue is he price of the "toppers" Your wife has, as you say, become addicted and has now purchased over $100.00 worth of "toppers. Would i be correct in assuming your wife wears her glasses fulltime? I'm pretty sure she only needed glasses for driving she would be fine with having just one pair and maybe a pair of prescription sunglasses. She needs to remember that she's still wearing her same glasses and only the front of her glasses looks different. The temples are the same and the shape of her glasses is the same. Isn't the cost of the "toppers" more than $7.00 each? Have her take a look at Zenni Optical as well as Lensmart and Payne Glasses These are very good sites with really cute glasses and they are priced between $7.00 and $12.00 including single vision lenses in whatever prescription your wife needs. I'm assuming your wife's glasses are only single vision and she probably does have a strong prescription. The pair glasses might be perfect for anyone that wears progressives, bifocals or has lenses that require thinning out.

I saw in the comments section that in your reply to Jessica Howington you you had a very serious issue with your glasses from Pair Eyewear. The most important thing about glasses is the accuracy of the prescription in them. Since you appear to be past your mid twenties when your eyes generally become quite stable I don't think any harm was done to your eyes if the prescription wasn't quite right. But of course it could still result in headaches and blurred vision. I think the idea of glasses with magnetic toppers is really a very unique idea. A very nice way to give the appearance of different glasses simply by changing the toppers. The base price of the glasses is very reasonable for a pair of glasses but many other sites do offer glasses at even lower prices. But, in my opinion, the toppers are priced much too high for what they are. The toppers basically sell for $35.00 each. Many glasses sites sell complete pairs of glasses for less than half that price. All the toppers are is a thin piece of plastic that shouldn't sell for more than $5.00 each if that much.

So the other day I went to stanton eye and I picked out my glasses thinking I was gettin the advertised price of 79 but then she gave me a quote for 700 for two pair. I went to eyewear and got 7 pairs plus base frame with progressive for 500 about 71 per pair not bad

I was worried mine were going to be way too big, but they fit perfect. I watched a bunch of different youtube videos and looked at pictures on Instagram to see how they looked on different people. Luckily they give you 30 days to return them if you don't like them :)

I'm a former optician, now retired. I'm curious as to why your eyes seem to have trouble focusing on your phone and and computer. In other words, things close up. The only thing I can think of is that besides being nearsighted you might also have some uncorrected astigmatisms. That could cause your near vision to be out of focus and even slightly blurred. Optometrists generally won't include astigmatism correction in contacts until it reaches a -.75 CYL prescription. But they do include it in glasses. The reason doctors don't include it is because that would require special contacts called "toric lenses" which cost about 3 - 4 more than regular contacts costs to only correct nearsightedness. So if you only have a -.25 CYL the doctor will completely ignore it for contacts. But if you have -.50 CYL then he will add an extra -.25 to your SPH correction to compensate for the lack of CYL. It helps, but it doesn't really provide perfect vision like it does with your glasses having the proper CYL included. In the comment section you mentioned to someone asking you about the accuracy of the prescription in your Pair glasses and you admitted that your eyesight really isn't quite as perfect as it really should be like it is when you get your glasses from a local optical store. That sent a big red flag up with me. That makes me wonder if when you ordered your glasses if you maybe used your contact lens prescription instead of going and getting your glasses prescription. It may surprise you that 95% of the time glasses prescriptions are different than a contact lens prescription. For one reason just what I said as being the reason your able to see close up better wearing glasses than with contacts. So of course if you ordered glasses based on your contact lens prescription then that would be why your Pair glasses seem a bit off as well. Now another reason to never use a contact lens prescription to order your glasses from is this. Contact lenses sit directly on your corneas and your glasses sit about 3/4" in front of your eyes. So your glasses needs to be slightly stronger than your contacts to make up for that 3/4" space. If you have any questions questions about your eyes or glasses or the issues you seem to be having with contacts and glasses please feel free to e-mail me at [e-mail] Over the years the main reason I heard from patients as to why they wore their contacts so much more than glasses was for about the same reason you gave. You said that on days when you were wearing your glasses around the house and then needed to go pickup your kids form school you had either endure having to drive wearing your glasses or you would need to switch to your contacts so you could wear your non-prescription sunglasses over them. Meaning of course that if you had prescription sunglasses you would have only needed to switch from your glasses to your prescription sunglasses. And the reason most people don't have prescription sunglasses is very simply the cost of having them which can easily be $300.00. I had many patients tell me they would wear their glasses much more often if they had prescription sunglasses. So you don't have prescription sunglasses, but you do have a couple sunglass toppers that fit directly on your glasses thus making them prescription sunglasses. I guess the only issue with that is keeping two sets of lenses clean instead of just one set. Anyway even though I'm not the biggest fan of Pair glasses, only because there are numerous glasses sites even less in cost than Pair. But $60.00 for a complete pair of glasses is still very reasonable. What i feel is overpriced is the toppers. If the toppers were only $10.00 or $12.00 that would me a price i could justify, but not $25.00 and $35.00. Anyway I love the look of your glasses and now that you have the sunglass toppers and no excuse for wearing contacts anymore. Will you be wearing glasses more often now?

@@BellyJae Personally the best place for what your after is Zenni Optical and here's why. They have a very nice selection of glasses, including single vision lenses in whatever prescription you need for as little as $7.00. Last night I paid $12.88 for a Whopper combo meal at Burger King. Hard to believe you can buy a really nice good quality pair of glasses in your prescription for almost half of a burger meal. Anyway in regards to a sunglass clip. Zenni has sunglass clips that fit perfectly over your glasses for just $3.95. I personally would even suggest getting a couple clips for that price just in case you were to lose one or maybe one just to keep in your car. By the way having been an optician I sill have friends as well as my family members that I order glasses for. So i have ordered quite few pairs along with the sunglass clips and in every case the clip fits perfectly on the lenses. So it makes your glasses look like just regular sunglasses.

@@lindahirschfeld1762 Transitions are fine for many things. But driving on a sunny day isn't one of them. Because car windshields have UV coating it prevents your glasses from changing nearly enough to be considered as sunglasses. Also even with glasses sites like Zenni that offers transitions for an extra $34.00 it may not be the best option. You can find a really cute pair of regular glasses for as low as $7.00 and that includes single vision lenses in your prescription. For an addition of $5.00 they can be tinted into sunglasses. I have done this many times and getting an 80% gray or brown tint makes really great nice sunglasses. I recently ordered my granddaughter a pair since she was recently prescribed glasses. She mainly needs them for driving and she loves her prescription sunglasses.

In all honesty, they aren’t perfect. Something is just a little off about the prescription. I have yet to get a pair of prescription glasses online that are the same as the ones you get at the eye doctor. I don’t know what it is!

@@WendiLee Having been an optician, I'm now retired, i always enjoy watching glasses reviews. I've also seen some bad reviews about the prescriptions being slightly off. I can tell you that isn't the case with most of the on-line glasses sites and I should know. The girls that worked in the optical store with me were constantly shopping on-line for prescription sunglasses as well as regular glasses. Most of them wore prescription glasses, but even several of the ones that didn't need glasses were also ordering glasses and sunglasses. Because i was very skeptical of those glasses that were selling glasses including single vision lenses in whatever prescription necessary I insisted that before any of them started wearing their glasses that they would allow me to check the prescription of their glasses to make sure it was at least fairly accurate. They were ordering from numerous sites. But in every case the prescription were as accurate as our own lab would have been. If you've had the same issue before with other on-line sites it makes me wonder several things. First question did you you go and get a copy of your glasses prescription from where you last had your eyes examined at and also asked them to include your PD measurement or did you maybe use your contact lens prescription and measured your own PD at home? You never ever want to order your glasses from a contact lens [prescription. I would suggest taking them to where you have gotten your glasses from locally and have them check the prescription of your glasses. They can do that easily in about 60 seconds time. Can you maybe describe as best as possible what seems off with them? I mean do they seem to be a little too weak or too strong? Usually being slightly stronger is more comfortable than being accurate. Is things maybe slightly out of focus? Anyway I remember when I first saw ads for Pair glasses and they were made for kids. It seems like they only started making them for adults in the last couple years. I can tell you that the base frame you got is the most popular one based on the reviews i've seen. I really do like how your glasses look on you and the clear transparent frame as well. They couldn't fit you any better. And the price of $60.00 is certainly not a bad price to pay for a cute pair of glasses. But I do think the the toppers are a bit over priced when you consider that all they are is a thin piece of plastic with a couple magnets. At least the sunglass toppers have tinted lenses in them which adds some value. I saw one review where the person claimed the toppers didn't stay on tight enough. but I could hear the click of the magnets grabbing the base frame. So I don't think that there is any issue with that. Now that you have these glasses and also the ability to turn them into prescription sunglasses so quickly and easily will you be wearing glasses more often? I have had hundreds of patients tell me that they would wear their glasses much more often if they were able to afford the cost of buying a pair of prescription sunglasses. So they wear their contacts to be able to wear non-prescription sunglasses. You look so nice wearing glasses it would be a shame if you don't start wearing glasses more often. I'm not saying throw out the contacts. Just wear them less often.

Mine are slightly off too. They’re perfect if I’m looking straight out. The ONLY time I could tell a slight blur in the tops and bottom of the lenses is at work. I work in a warehouse and when I’m packing orders, I usually glance up at a big tv screen that has everyone’s information on it like our pack speed, how many lines we’ve packed, etc. If my head is still facing slightly down and I just glance up through the top of my lenses, the screen is slightly blurry so I have to move my head to face the tv screen straight on to see the text crystal clear. And that’s the only time I notice it! Going through the rest of every day life, I can’t tell the difference. It’s just at work while I’m packing.

So Wendi I saw in the comments that after making this video you apparently ere having issues with your Pair glasses. The fact that you wear vision correction fulltime either with contacts or glasses I'm sure you are very able to tell if something isn't right in your glasses. As a former optician I would love for you to do your best in describing what felt off when wearing them? Did things look a bit unclear or maybe slightly out of focus? Did you ever voice a complaint to Pair about your glasses being a bit off? I'm assuming when you ordered your Pair glasses you used your current glasses prescription for that time and you didn't order your glasses using your contact lens prescription. You never ever want to order glasses using a contact lens prescription. Very very rarely is a glasses prescription the same as a contact lens prescription. Here's the reason why. Contacts sit directly on your corneas and the lenses in your glasses are approximately 3/4" in front of your corneas. So depending on how strong your prescription is he bigger the difference. So your glasses are almost always slightly stronger than what your contact prescription is. Also another factor is astigmatisms. if you have astigmatisms and their under -.50 CYL your contacts most likely don't have that included and in some case the doctor may increase your SPH by -.25 to supplement that. But your glasses will always include your astigmatism correction. I should tell you that doing this could easily be the reason your glasses seemed a bit off. If you have both prescriptions handy I would love for you to post them or post what ever you used to order your glasses with.
