Personal finance always advise that, your Atleast 36 months expenses should be invest on secured instruments, it maybe fd or post office scheme. I think you have learnt personal finance from KZbin, that's why you are telling, so being an personal finance expert I would advise you to keep atleast your 36 months expenses in secured instruments and you should be term insurance, medical insurance policy. And do not put your 40% corpus on share market. Last but not least don't watch KZbin finance advice blindly, otherwise disaster will come.

Let me give you a simple advice. Don't think how much you can save to get financially free. First of all look at your expenditure. What is minimum amount which you need on monthly basis for your family expenditure. Then search for some income which can come in your absence also. Invest your time and money at that business or property and develop that income whether you earn 20k or 30k only on monthly basis. That will make you feel secure. And lastly....... Two ways you can save more.... Earn more or spend less
