The first time I saw Felix here was together with Martin Miller and the other fantastic musicians. I hope I have the chance to see Felix playing live. He is such a great drummer and look also a very nice guy......and playing on Paiste, my choice also for about 40 years!!!!!! .....mmmmmm......I become an old guy😳

Tama and Meinl are great companies but if I were a drummer of Felix's stature I'd prefer to play DW and Paiste also. Good move Felix.........and fantastic playing!

I've seen and heard almost all those videos. The gear and recordings do sound phenomenal. Having, personally owned and played many Tama, DW, Meinl and Paiste - I also prefer the DW/ Paiste combination. Of course this is very subjective and a matter of personal taste.

Don't get me wrong, I love both DW and Tama to death, but the fact of the matter is, if it's a DW, it's gonna sound good! I've played on some great Tama kits and some not so great. Personally, cymbal wise, I'm a die hard Zildjian guy and honestly not a huge fan of Paiste or Meinl, but I do think Paistes sound a lot better than most Meinls I've heard, though I do like Meinl's Byzance Brilliant series quite a bit.

I've played and owned Zildjian for most of my life also Bill. I do appreciate the Turkish sound but with projection. That was one of my biggest issues with Meinl Byzance - too tame. Beautiful sounding cymbals other than that. I love the higher frequency range and shimmer that Paiste offer. I would have owned more but the price here in Canada is very expensive. I agree with your DW vs Tama statement.

Jan Patrick Lucas Why is DW a better fit? Tama makes some of the BEST drums in the world ....and now with the STAR hardware they can easily compete with DW in that department. I see no down side to being endorsed by Tama.

Good point Joe. Of course preferences are all very subjective. I personally prefer DW slightly, and viewed it as a fresh, inspiring move for Felix. Good on ya for sticking up for Tama though. I've always enjoyed their drums and my first kit was a Tama actually.

He was up until very, very, very recently. He moved to Paiste literally like three months ago.

So looking at his website, he really jumped a lot of ships. Tama, Meinl, Evans too? Funny...but I don't get the Chambers comparison. Chambers seems more like a rocket fast singles guy?

Joe Toe that’s because he moved from Meinl Distribution (distributing their own brands (Cymbals, Percussion, ...) Tama drums and D‘Addario (Evans) in Germany and Europe) to Gewa (distributing Paiste, DW, Remo, Gretsch... in Germany and Europe) - The Artist-Relationship is managed by the distributors. Often it is also a question of service, friendship, and timing, why someone changes his or her endorsenents. Not always just the sound and the look of the Instruments. ;-)
