I actually knew about that "Give wood to the tree" scene. It's quite funny. "Oh please, next you'll be telling me birds can fly!" XD Did you know you can use Carrot on the guard trees? It's weird because where his mouth would usually be, the whole thing is gone. It's like a little block of his face was chipped off. It's hard to explain, you just have to see it for yourself.

I am playing this game now!:) It's been about a decade since I've seen this. I am having issues getting through the closet up the stairs and getting that door knob to get into that shack. How the hell do you get in there?!

First of all you'll find the knob behind the closet doors. There is a whole nother area there. You have to answer 4 questions (correctly) first then they'll let you through. 3/4 are easy. You have to hunt for the answer in the 'Land of Darkness' category
