First Pajama Sam game to have a higher quality sound, and the second game to have a higher quality sound in the series is Pajama Sam's last adventure, Life Is Rough When You Lose Your Stuff which is also the first Pajama Sam game in Stereo.

This is notable for a LOT of things. Such as... 1. The last game to have Pamela Segall to provide Pajama Sam's voice. She was later replaced with Elisha Fuggerson in 2003, which, compare to Pamela and my take on Pamela and Daily's voice, sounded NOTHING like my take or Pamela Segall (my take on Sam felt like a cross between E.G. Daily and Pamela Adlon.). Atari should have brought back E.G. Daily back, but it can be easily be hacked by replacing Elisha's voice clips with either Pamela or Daily's. 2. For being one of the rarest Humongous games ever created, probably because of that kids are focused more on their Junior Adventures than this or because of somewhat poor sales. 3. The last game to use the SCUMM engine. Starting with a 'Backyard Sports' game in 2002, their games are now using Atari's YAGA engine. 4. The only game to have dialogue during the credits. 5. The first game to have 22 HKZ audio compared to the previous games.

You can tell Pamela Segall-Adlon was already a seasoned "King of the Hill" actor by this point. Her voice for Pajama Sam this time around has a slight Southern drawl that was not present in the first 3 games. (Then again, "King of the Hill" premiered in 1997, one year after "Pajama Sam: No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside" was released.)

I decided to get almost all old computer games on Steam if I can't make my future computers play old CD-Roms, and I'm especially looking forward to getting the Humongous Entertainment ones. Including this one and the Activity Packs, since they'll really help pass the time if I have no one to play board and card games with. However even if I can't make my future computers play old CD-Roms I think I'll still collect them just for the nostalgic appeal. Besides, getting them second-hand shouldn't be too expensive, and at least it's better than letting them eventually end up in the garbage (especially for the environment's sake). (chuckles) Who knows, VHS tapes and old CD-Roms may be the next vinyl records in the future: used to be outdated, but now back in style with the old ones worth a lot of money. Eh, a 90s kid can dream.
