8:25 Those thin trees are not coconut trees. They are areca nut trees. Also known as areca palm. Karala and Karnataka has lot of areca nut production. Areca nut is used in pan masala etc. Google for the pic of areca nut. Areca nut harvesting is very interesting. They climb on to one tree, after harvesting they bend the same tree and reach the top of next tree without climbing down.

KSRTC will take you to the very last village of Karnataka in very less ticket price!! So both travelling and food both are affordable.. And another thing in Karnataka you will get free food in temples and mutts everyday millions of people have it as Prasadh!! You can even save money😅 in karnataka school trips are arranged in such way that you will have to have atleast 2 meals in temples to reduce the cost of students!! Karnataka has highest number of community kitchens in India.

You didn’t see coffee because he didn’t quite visit Coorg. Just Madikeri and then headed to Agumbe. Now Agumbe is very high rainfall region with some of the densest forests in India. And yes it’s a protected forest because it houses the worlds largest poisonous snake. The King Cobra. 😃

Fun fact about mandalpatti; I have ride here multiple times since it wasn't commercialized. One of the biggest attractions visiting Mandalpatti was the journey itself. Whether you are in a bike or a jeep, riding there was not for the sensitive heart. It was literally a rollercoaster ride because of the worst road you could imagine. The road wasn't worse because of the government but because of locals who wanted it to stay that way because it was largely visited by adrenaline junkies like myself who are in for an adventure and thus helping the local economy. Also, these worst roads would boost the business of Jeep renters. Now only government actually built the road. This is why they couldn't reach the top because you still need to hire the jeep or pay the toll. We stopped visiting here after they commercialized it. We have also found not so known destinations around here, so it's not like I miss anything.

Coorg is very beautiful.nice forest, coffee plantations. My friend is from coorg. They are like the warriors clan. When our family went to coorg we stayed at my friend's sis's home stay which was fully equipped with all modern amenities.Her Home was on mountain surrendered with beautiful view of valley and we relished on traditional coorg ka Food 😃 ( being vegetarian didn't have nonveg)
