Andre you should do an entire Nusrat album! You have no idea how much the people of India, Pakistan & Bangladesh (and more) will appreciate if you do that for us. I can’t compliment you any further than what people have said. Just absolutely incredible how you blended metal and one of the greatest legends of all time. Seriously consider making an album and distributing it via exclusive download. There are 2 billion people in South Asia. Everyone who listens to music knows this guy and no one has been able to do what you did in how you fused this together. There’s currently a big wave of people fusing classics like these into pop (check out coke studio) but nothing like this out there for what you have accomplished here. Thanks for this music it made me feel a lot of emotions hearing this from childhood favorite combined with things I listed to growing into adulthood. Cheers

Looked up the English translation to these lyrics. The part that stood out to me was inviting darkness into their own home so that another home can be brightened. This song is metal AF.

No doubt! This really is cultural enrichment. And a lot of times what hard core liberals want to call “cultural appropriation” is really just cultural admiration. Don’t they get it? If you want to dress like a Nigerian or in a kimono it doesn’t mean you’ve got some evil agenda to absorb and eventually wipe out their culture. You admire certain aspects of these foreign cultures and are simply imitating them. Not mocking them! It’s cultural admiration!!!

I've been listening to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan for decades and, to my ear, you have only enhanced it. It is amazing that you can make so much noise and not step on the vocals from a simple technical perspective, but to augment them musically without interfering is mind blowing. I wish he were alive to hear these interpretations. He did collaborations with Peter Gabriel, so he was open to exploring possibilities with the music. I bet he would have loved this.

This guy has mixed metal (which is barely 50 years old) With Qawwali music which extends back to the 13th century so that's what I meant by badass in terms of pushing boundaries and experimenting which I find to be more interesting and exciting as a result. A band like Black Sabbath for example is beyond badass when you view them in their historical context, I'm talking about hearing heavy metal for the first time in the late 60s can you imagine how cool was that!

This music is also very popular in Afghanistan and my father has tons of CDs and Cassettes from him and other qawwali artists, Like Nashenas or the Sabri Brothers, but Ustad Fateh Ali Khan was always his favourite. I must admit that to me this genre of music kind of always lacked a bit of "fire" or "spice" and as such I really love your interpretations here, as they add exactly what I was missing, allowing me to get all nostalgic in a new, "metalled-up" way. 😊

So, I watched a couple of these Pakistani songs on your channel, and I must say it's impossible for me to imagine these guys singing without your guitars alongside them, as if that's the original version. You've done tremendous job on them.

After hearing dance remixes of Mustt Mustt by Massive Attack, Bally Sagoo and others I always thought somebody should do a rock version and years later here it is. Absolutely Brilliant.

I just got goose bumps dude...its EPIC. Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's voice was spirited enough but this rendition is "meant to be"

Man, I love the original song and metal complements the track so well. RIP Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. You are sorely missed. Respects to Andre for this cover.
