Thanks for all the love! This video also features Shan Padman (guest vocals at the end), who is a subscriber, and also a friend now, that got in touch after I asked for Indian singers. He was a bit afraid of being turned into a meme, so please, share some love and encouragement with him as well! Thank you all so much, it's amazing to know that any temporary change of content style is well recieved. I'll always be back to what I used to do, but at this moment, India metal is giving me a lot of joy. Looking forward to discover and remix more awesome music around the globe. Please send me some suggestions to my email if you find anything interesting.

@@mattpatt199 He said the Nooran sisters are much better than a bloke screaming himself hoarse, not that metal singers are talentless bums with no technical chops or knowhow. Don't think he necessarily even implied that metal singers are all just voice-wrecking screamers. You're right though, of course, that many metal singers have excellent control of their voices. Many lose their capacity to scream though, which sucks. Look at Serj from System of a Down, or Brent from Mastodon. Even Billy Corgan - his screams in X.Y.U. were great. I know they _can_ scream still, but they have to be extremely careful now and do it very sparingly. You rarely hear them do it.

According to my understanding "Jugni" in sufi poetry is the female physical manifestation of someone's enlightened spirit. In poetry "Jugni" is faced with wordly worries and desires and experiances the hustle and bustle of life and tempted by materialism, but she rejects all that. She acts and responds in a way that provides you with guidance, drops wisdom pearls, sometimes is desperate herself for guidance from the spiritual master and provides an example to follow; if you yourself want to become enlightened i.e become jugni yourself. The hook in this song is "Jungi kehndi aye" which means " That's what Jugni says (/would say)" The verses describe the materialism that this world is drowned in and Jugni is saying that you have to reject it.

Words almost fail me. Andre says Indian metal gives him joy. It gives me and vast numbers of others joy too. Yet again, I find myself saying he has surpassed himself. This is truly a wonderful track. It’s a work of art. It put me in a frenzy at the end like the sisters. It almost turned me into a whirling dervish. This Indian metal genre that Andre has single-handedly created is incredible. It almost seems as if it was meant to be. The two genres go together so well. This track should be an international smash - as should the others.

That's sufi music, performed Qawwali styled. This style has existed for over 400 years now. Sufism arrived in India some 700 years ago from Central Asia. Sufism was deeply influenced by Central Asian shamanism, so despite being a branch of Islam, it incorporates certain non-Islamic elements. For example going into a trance-like state while performing music(much like modern metal), head banging and swirling dervishes. You can say this is the oldest form of metal.

You know whats funny, I notice the same thing with Die Antwoord and the metal version of Fatty Boom Boom. When I listen to anything by Die Antwoord, it doesn't click for me, even the Fatty Boom Boom song. But, put some riffs in there and a heavy beat, and it kinda lets you see what they're actually doing with their rhythms. I don't know if they're working with silent syncopated rhythms or what, but you put it up against a solid grid of metal riffs and drums, all the complexity kinda pops out. And its the same thing with these Indian sisters. You still can't tell what they're doing, but it sounds insane. And I think thats why it sounds so good. Its like being successfully fooled by a magic trick.
