Overall in the tournament Babar’s captaincy has been average but in this match, it was good captaincy. He made good bowling changes and was going for the kill, that’s why the fast bowlers had bowled their 10 overs and the spinners had to bowl the remaining 3. As far as batting is concerned, yes, he should’ve played a longer innings. If not a century then at least 75-90 runs. The sole blame of this loss goes on the batting because the bowlers couldn’t have done much more and they bowled their hearts out and bought Pakistan back into the match out of nowhere. If Pakistan would’ve played the entire 50 overs then total could have been 290 or 300+ and that would have made the difference. As a Pakistani fan, I hoped for a win but ab aur kuch kar nahi saktay.
