I live in Lahore & "Jalal Sons" is one of the expensive departmental stores here, bcoz most of their stuff is imported & they also have huge GST taxes on everything they sell, thats why its expensive. U can easily find cheaper groceries in local shops & even in other departmental stores.😊

it all depends on the product if the product is imported they cost much higher and if it is locally produced with in pakistan then it cost mostly half of these prices. the problem is that we dont have any special lovers for westerns product for ex: no one buys cheese on daily bases and use jam instead of nutella. only rich and elite class would. thats why imported products have to pay 10 to 20 percent in duties and cost is much higher then any other country in the world.

It depends on areas and localities, too. In the wholesale supermarkets, groceries and other edibles like cooking oils, ghee, etc, are much cheaper than in supermarkets. Imtiaz's is much cheaper, The other day, I filled my shopping trolly with groceries, frozen items, confectioners, dairy items, and fruits, and before getting into the payment line I checked my wallet, and got sure I had 15 thousand cash besides two debut cards. Believe me, I was about to faint out when the miss on the counter told me the total. Only 6000.
