Rightly said, Alangu is extinct and actually it was a hound variety and not mastiff... Bully Kutta is a gentle giant but a mixedup breed not of Indian origin or from Tamil Nadu. This breed has a lot of problems because of inbreeding. So before buying please do a proper study. Common problems likely to occur are hip Dysplasia, Congenital Heart Disease, Skin Diseases and Eye Issues. Normal life expectation seems to be around 6 to 8 yrs. Mine survived for 5 yrs and I don't recommend it to any

The thumbnal even goes by if this dog can be mistaken for a lion. Nope. That dog is for sure a dog and nowhere comes in the bal court range of the capabilities and the menacing presence that a lion can give you. People simply underestimate or overestimate things so badly that it makes them question their own existence when they realise the truth. Have seen what a lion or a tiger can do to a >1 tonne bull. Just these heavy muscular beings simply sitting on top of this poor dog will do the job. No need of the 4 inch claws and teeth, or the simply overwhealming muscular power. Even pinning down this dog and licking it will rip the flesh out of it. Its because even the tongue has got this barbed sharp quill-like projections. These big cats are simply hand-crafterd by the mother nature to take out big prey like a machine. No cpmparison at all. Even the biggest and the meanest dog in the world right now will end up a snack in no time. A tiger has been recorded to drag a bull carcass weighing a tonne, some 1.5 km away. Seen a tiger carry a sambar deer weighing somewhee around 80kg on its jaws and jump a ~5 foot fence like it was nothing. Want to even think of contrasting these poor dogs with the mosters out there in the jungle?
