They were not luxurious apartments , these are simple apartments.. luxurious apartments are like DLF Cammelias , i recommend you to watch or atleast see it.. Not that Bangalore people doesn't know Hindi. This is the only place in India where most people speak minimum 5 languages including Hindi. There could be few people who may not know Hindi. But most of them know Hindi.

In Bangalore no local know Hindi 30 years ago. It's not the language of South India. They don't have to know. Do Sri Lankans also know Hindi? Though they're attached to South India and speak a Prakrit language? Hindi has seeped into Bangalore only in the past few years while it was only Tamil, Telugu, English, Marathi earlier. Even Local Muslims got cheesed off when I spoke Hindi years ago. When they were speaking Dakhani... There's no embarassment in not knowing Hindi.

Since my childhood, I have seen many people speaking in Hindi in my hometown Bangalore. Nobody said, it is a South Indian language. I don't know from where srilankans jumped into this conversation.
