I like Abbas a lot, but I’m not sure what kind of ‘sahafi’ does not push back on views he does not endorse. Nowhere does journalism stipulate that you give an open platform to bigots and hate mongers. And that’s your average Islamist. Besides, these people already get tons of airtime on actual TV, so why not air an alternative view? I don’t care if someone is ‘nice’ or ‘polite’. I like people who push back and challenge me. Sometimes the truth is bitter.
