This is again living in bondage. This is not complete sanyasa. If you want to get complete renunciation, you need to leave everything, not setup a place to stay, collect water for winter and cook to survive!!! This is just partial sanyasa. I have seen great souls living in mountains with no shelter over their head and not eating anything. Just meditation. Go to Rishikesh or come down to Thiruvannamalai, you can see many such great souls. For renunciation, you need to leave out everything with no bondage or attachment.

Not necessarily. Brainwashed. All Maharishis were married and lived with wife. You can become a yogi even living with family. The Sanatan Dharma does not make u leave your responsibility and renounve the world. It believes that u can renounce the world only after you have dispensed with your duties. The first duty is gaining knowledge. The brahmacharya phase where you study. The second duty is the grahasthi. You establish a household and take care of them. Have children to take your family forward. The third stage is vanaprastha where you leave the society for a forest where you distance yourselves from the societal pressures. The last is the sanyas where you renounce everything and work towards a higher goal. This hierarchy makes u responsible for every aspect of the society, no matter who you are. So, most of thr Rishis have a wife and children as per the usual customs. Nothing strange in that. In fact, the whole idea of renouncing and leaving behind the world actually originates from the Budhhist traditions where Budhha renounces everything to attain moksha. Sanatan dharma believes that u attain noksha once tou have completed the whole cycle.

Just go and read what it says about sanyasa - True renunciation, according to the Bhagavadgita, is freedom from desires, or renunciation of desires. It is the hallmark of true monkhood, which is possible only through the cultivation of detachment and the equanimity of the mind. The detachment comes only if you start moving away from wordly practices. It is by renouncing the desire for the fruit of actions that a karmayogi becomes a true sanyasi.
