Hamare yaha par har saal navratri mein 7000 karod ka kharcha hota hai or us se humein koi ashcharya nahi hota because wo har saal hota hai but Maharashtra mein agar 200 karod ka bhi hoga to us par maharastriyan ko garv hoga! Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10 day festival, and is same everywhere, we can't end featival in between, the reason is as per the hindu calender, the Ganesh Chaturthi (Day 1) ends on Anant Chaturdashi (Day 10), Anant means eternal, this day is considered auspicious and also dedicated to lord vishnu. Hence the visarjan (Immersing idols in water), takes place on this day. This day always comes on 10th day after Ganesh Chaturthi hence it is celebrated as a 10 day festival.
