Alright so here's how they predicted higgs boson, basically the theories were already there and it was also estimated that it'll be between 110 Gev - 1000 GeV so they just made an equation with keeping all this in mind and the answer for their equation was around 700 GeV or something but the actual mass of higgs boson is 125 GeV so their prediction is still way off if we consider the fact that it was already estimated that it can be between 110 and 1000 only, have a good time everyone and don't fall for these theories.

A physics major here well it's little different actually the research was already going as you said that already had an idea that this should be the mass and the equation in Simpson is not 100% accurate so it is possible they studied lot of research papers and found what is already there and also there is an interesting thing and many of people in their team were mathamaticians so they had pretty much idea what are going to do and how should they do it

Yes, there were theoretical predictions for the mass of the Higgs boson before its discovery in 2012. These predictions were based on various theoretical frameworks within particle physics, such as the Standard Model and extensions of it. However the better equation on the board was a solution of fermat's last theorem which he didn't mention : (3987)^12 + (4365)^12 = (4472)^12 , it's a very very near miss but still amzing. And talking about whether the writers are from future 😂 , all other things mentioned are just coincidences and the maths equtions were engineered by one of their writers David X. Cohen who is BA in physics from Harvard so nothing much of a coincidence.
